Job Description

Responsible for overseeing Edwards Lifesciences' operations within the country, ensuring strategic alignment with regional and global objectives. This executive role is responsible for driving top-line growth. Contributes to sales strategy definition, defines sales targets of team therefore is accountable for driving sustainable business growth through the formulation and execution of commercial strategies. Effective leadership of cross-functional teams, and operational excellence. The Country Leader will serve as the primary representative of the company to local authorities, professional associations, and other key stakeholders, ensuring regulatory compliance and actively enhancing Edwards' corporate reputation within the Mexican market.

How you’ll make an impact:

Strategic Leadership & Commercial Execution

•Collaborate with the country’s commercial organization (dotted-line reporting) to align business strategies with Edwards’ global and regional objectives.•Drive the commercialization of Edwards’ products and services across Mexico, ensuring market penetration and sustainable growth.•Anticipate, identify, and interpret market trends and translate insights into actionable strategies for the business and sales teams.

Risk Management & Strategic Initiatives

•Identify business risks and lead the development and execution of complex strategies, including market access and reimbursement initiatives.•Engage in negotiations with internal and external stakeholders to support strategic business objectives.

Talent development

•Influence, mentor and support the development of a high-performing commercial team,  fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.•Build and execute robust talent development plans aligned with the functional growth strategies of the organization.•Promote employee engagement and uphold Edwards’ Credo and values across all levels of the local organization.

Operational Oversight & Business Support

•Partner with functional leads to support country-wide operations including finance, bids and tenders, general services, customer service, and technical support.•Ensure operational effectiveness and compliance with internal policies, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.•Provide timely and accurate statutory reporting (e.g., P&L, balance sheet) and lead local audits (finance, quality).

Stakeholder Engagement & Corporate Representation

•Represent Edwards before external stakeholders including government authorities, healthcare providers, payers, and national health associations.•Lead and implement the local corporate communications strategy, including internal newsletters and employee engagement initiatives.•Safeguard the company’s brand and reputation through active participation in corporate responsibility and social impact activities•Other incidental duties

What you’ll need:

•Bachelor's Degree in related field Experience as a business unit manager/ general manager overseeing cross functional areas at country level and skill levels exceeding the requirements of the Manager Required•Other: in MBA, PharmD, PhD, MD with a Fellowship in Outcome Research or Pharmacoeconomics Experience developing and executing complex strategies at country level. Preferred•Experience in conducting health economics, patient-reported outcomes, retrospective data analyses, epidemiology or health services research projects highly Preferred•Experience developing pharma/health-economic models, either for publication or for interactive use with customers
