Right now at Philips we are seeking a Country and Commercial Leader for Australia and New Zealand to provide strategic direction, oversee a high-performing sales team, manage key customer relationships, and drive revenue growth while ensuring market competitiveness and service excellence. This leader ensures full adherence and integrity of business operation according to internal / external requirements and standards. Driving strong, trust-based relationships with governments and institutions while participating in industry groups towards shaping a healthy business environment that supports relevant organizations sharing the same cause as Philips. Your responsibilities include

Developing clear strategies, objectives and tactical plans for the district based on strategic account management, customer centricity, segmentation, customer needs and market conditions synchronized with the Business Units’ objectives.Leading sales and commercial partnerships to grow revenue, align with market needs, and strengthen customer relationships.Develop and execute country-specific sales and distribution strategies, including forecasting and annual planning, and oversee budgeting and P&L to maximize profitability and financial performance.Resolve complex customer issues through proactive communication and problem-solving to maintain satisfaction and brand reputation.Monitor market trends and competitor activity to adjust strategies and capture new opportunities.Ensure coordination between all customer facing functions, and distribution channels in the district to guarantee “one face to the customer”.Lead, develop and manage an effective, engaged and motivated sales team.Representing Philips internally and externally, leading a cross functional leadership team responsible for government relations, local infrastructure, statutory, Fiscal and compliance duties, safety, sustainability and labor relations to secure compliant operations

What you need to succeed in this role:

Minimum 15 Years’ commercial experience in B2B or B2C environment, preferably in Healthcare/Medical Device/MedTech industry.Experienced in managing P&L, improving sales and margins in existing markets, and extension volume by improving distribution strategy and new channels.Proven record in defining sales strategy and deploying aligned distribution strategy.Experienced in selling a wide range of products and new product/market combinations.Track record for building and managing new functions and high performing teams.Experience leading sales for the Australia and New Zealand district for a large matrixed company.Master’s Degree in relevant field.


How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
