**Description** PeaceHealth is seeking a Counselor - Behavioral Health for a Per Diem/Relief, 0.00 FTE, Variable position. The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $35.56 – $53.34. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc. **Job Summary** This position is responsible for providing initial assessment, crisis intervention, individual and/or group counseling and therapy (as appropriate to licensure) to patients/clients experiencing mental and/or behavioral health issues. Details of the position + Provides initial clinical assessment of patients/clients needs based on presenting concerns. + Triages patient/client for specific therapy focus if applicable. + Provides individual and/or family therapy (as appropriate to licensure) for patients/clients of all ages. + Provides ongoing counseling services and follow-up as needed. + May provide case management and coordination with other treatment agencies or outside support services as needed. + Prepares and maintains all required treatment records and reports. + Performs other duties as assigned. What you bring + Master's Degree Required: Social Work Or + Master's Degree Required: Counseling Or + Master's Degree Required: Psychology or related field. + Required: Basic Life Support and + Required: Mental Health Technician in Oregon **Working Conditions** Lifting + Ability to move around area with occasional sitting. + Bend/ twist/ reach/ push/ pull occasionally. + Lift/Carry: Occasionally up to 5 lbs. Environmental Conditions + Exposure to biohazard, body fluids and airborne particles. + Time spent on site in medical/hospital setting or in office environment. Mental/Visual + Vision and hearing required within normal limits (glasses, contacts, hearing aids permitted). + Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
