Counsel Job ID 239204 Posted 28-Oct-2025 Service line GWS Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Legal Location(s) Remote - US - Remote - US - United States of America **About the Role:** As a CBRE Counsel, you will be responsible for overseeing legal support services for a variety of moderately complex assigned legal projects. This job is part of the Legal Services job function. They are responsible for providing legal counsel and guidance in the ordinary and special activities of the organization. **What You’ll Do:** + Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) work. Transactional legal matters. Contract negotiation and drafting. Project management in a legal or corporate setting. + Works under general direction of a senior attorney in the conduct of day-to-day duties. + Researches legal principles and precedents, consults with outside counsel, drafts/revises legal documents, and gathers relevant information using multiple sources and methods. + Responsible for handling ordinary course and complex matters and projects which may have a material financial impact on business activities and operations. + Provides legal counsel and guidance to managers, market leaders, executives and other employees on legal aspects of the Company’s various business lines. + May provide training and direction to other legal professionals, paraprofessionals and support staff in developing solutions to issues presented. + Supports legal training by conducting training sessions and contributing content and/or researching relevant legal issues. + Investigates claims and complaints by or against the Company, including interviewing relevant parties and preparing reports based on findings. + Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. + Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations. + Other job-related duties as may be assigned. **What You’ll Need:** Juris Doctorate and Member of State Bar in good standing required with 3-5 years of relevant experience. Ability to work without supervision, manage tasks, and set priorities with excellent follow-up skills and organization. Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Counsel position is $160,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Counsel position is $180,000 annually. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
