Duties & Responsibilities Provide specialized legal advice on contract law, labor law, intellectual property, and dispute resolution. Ensure legal advice aligns with the company’s strategic and operational objectives. Serve as the primary legal advisor for designated business units, offering ongoing support on legal issues. Deliver practical and actionable legal solutions for business decision-making. Identify potential legal risks in business operations and transactions and provide proactive mitigation strategies. Collaborate with business units to integrate legal considerations into strategic planning. Provide guidance on contract matters, including reviewing terms, advising on obligations, and managing disputes. Ensure all contract provisions comply with legal standards and support business goals. Conduct legal research on emerging issues, regulatory changes, and complex legal topics. Prepare legal memoranda to support business strategies. Advise on labor law issues such as employee contracts, disputes, and disciplinary actions. Provide legal guidance to HR and management on employment-related questions. Advise on intellectual property matters, including trademarks, patents, copyrights, and IP disputes. Support the protection and management of the company’s intellectual property assets. Work closely with HR, finance, operations, and management to understand legal needs and deliver tailored counsel. Act as the central point of legal consultation for various departments. Develop and deliver legal training programs on key topics such as labor law, IP, and contract management. Keep internal teams informed about relevant legal changes, risks, and updates. Coordinate with external legal counsel for specialized or complex legal matters, ensuring cost-effectiveness. Maintain accurate records of legal consultations and ensure secure documentation storage. Prepare reports for senior leadership on legal risks, trends, and advisory activities. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB or equivalent). Postgraduate qualification in commercial law, contract law, or a related legal field is preferred but not mandatory. Experience Minimum of 5 years of legal experience, preferably in a consultative legal role within a corporate environment or law firm. Demonstrated experience providing legal advice on contracts, labor law, and intellectual property. Strong background in contract law, labor law, and dispute resolution is highly preferred.
