Costpoint Analyst
(HYBRID/Flexible) Costpoint & Financial Systems Analyst - Government Contracting

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Costpoint & Financial Systems professional to collaborate with the Senior Costpoint Administrator in developing and implementing strategies for digital finance transformation. This role requires balancing impact, resources, and time effectively. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of most Costpoint modules from both a front-end user and back-end technical perspective. Experience with 3rd party integrations, implementations, and migrations from other systems to Costpoint is essential. A well-rounded background in accounting and IT or accounting information systems is crucial for success in this position.

Responsibilities

Provide support to the Costpoint user base, offering guidance on application usage and troubleshooting errors, including managing support cases submitted to Deltek.Assist the Senior Engineer with Deltek Cloud maintenance functions, including database refreshes, Cloud outage reporting, and SaaS Administration.Create and modify custom Cognos BI reports based on user needs and requests.Assist with setting up and modifying user and user group rights to ensure proper segregation of duties.Develop plans and scripts for testing Deltek upgrades and quarterly releases.Be available for standby assignments and scheduled off-hours work, including emergency overtime.Travel as required, approximately 10%.

Essential Skills

Strong working knowledge of Deltek Costpoint, including Time & Expense, Cognos BI, and MS SharePoint.Experience with financial management reporting systems, data architectures, and business intelligence tools.Proficient project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and processes.Effective communication skills to convey technical requirements to a non-technical audience.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.Aptitude for learning new methods and systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent in combined education and experience.5+ years of related job experience with at least 3 years in ERP, including Costpoint, Time & Expense, and Cognos BI.Self-starter comfortable in a fluid working environment with competing priorities.Capacity to work in high-stress environments.

Work Environment

This is a hybrid position requiring both onsite work at the corporate location in Reston, VA, and remote work from a home office. The role offers hybrid schedule flexibility, allowing for mostly work-from-home arrangements with occasional office visits during busy seasons or large projects, averaging about 1-2 days a month. The work hours are flexible, typically between 9:00 am - 5:00 pm or 8:00 am - 4:00 pm.

The pay range for this position is $60.10 - $66.67/hr.
