The Costing FP&A Analyst reports to the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager and is responsible for cost analytics, standard cost maintenance, and gross margin performance. This role partners with Supply Chain, Procurement, and Operations to ensure accurate product costing and actionable insights that drive profitability.
This position is part of the Financial Planning & Analysis department, located in the US. The role is located in Colombia and is fully remote.
In this role, a typical day will look like:
Collecting and analysing data on raw materials, labour, and overhead costsValidating and reconciling standard costs to actual costs; investigating root causes of significant variancesAnalysing purchase price variance (PPV), material usage variance, and manufacturing overhead absorptionConducting breakeven and margin analysis by product and divisionSupporting management with cost-saving recommendations and process improvementsPartnering with Procurement and Supply Chain to understand cost movements and their impact on marginsSetting up new products in the system and ensuring accurate costing data integrationPreparing quarterly cost updatesSupporting annual budget, quarterly forecast, and strategic planning processes for COGS and manufacturing expensesDeveloping and maintaining cost models to project material, freight, and conversion cost trendsCollaborating with global FP&A and Operations Finance to ensure consistency and accuracy of costing assumptionsPreparing and distributing monthly cost and margin dashboards with commentary on key cost drivers and trendsProviding ad hoc analyses for sourcing changes, make/buy evaluations, and manufacturing footprint initiativesSupporting cost-related audits and ensuring compliance with ChemTreat’s financial policies and proceduresSupporting automation of cost reports and dashboards using Excel, Power BI, or FP&A toolsParticipating in system enhancement projects related to costing or financial reportingMonitoring and troubleshooting daily issues in the costing inbox, ensuring timely resolution of inquiries and discrepanciesThe essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or related field1–3 years of experience in FP&A, Cost Accounting, or Operations Finance (manufacturing preferred)Advanced Excel skills required; proficiency in Power BI, Hyperion, or similar tools a plusKnowledge of ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, or D365) and costing modules preferredFluency in English required.ChemTreat is proud to be a part of the Water Quality segment of Veralto (NYSE: VLTO), a $5B global leader dedicated to ensuring access to clean water, safe food and medicine, and trusted essential goods.
