Basic Qualifications:

BS Degree in a technical or science area from an accredited institutionEmployees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.This position is subject to the Internal Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

2 Years combined experience in engineering, finance, and or data analytics.Demonstrated ability to implement system changes for improved profit, productivity, safety, etc. Working knowledge of the investment casting business. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Excellent verbal & written communication skills, analytical skillsAbility to analyze time studies to set labor standards, mechanical ability that would allow the search for new and better equipment in a manufacturing environment.Ability to provide technical leadership and guidance to the manufacturing areas.   Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Coordinate between the sales, accounting and engineering disciplines to ensure all new and existing process costs and reporting functions integrate successfully.Ability to perform and present with confidence and facts to all levels of the corporation.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Cost Estimator position is responsible for developing labor and material standards to generate cost models for new and existing part cost estimates and analysis.  Provide accounting support for shop floor data collection to ensure accurate reporting of labor and material consumption for budgeting, forecasting and production department cost tracking and development. Provide data analytics and graphical review of data to understand shop constraints and make recommendations for improvements based on data.

Job Responsibilities: 

Identify factors affecting costs, such as production time, materials, and labor & recommend ways to reduce costs.Develop models, databases, and spreadsheets to analyze data and provide summary analysis and metrics for consultation to sales team and internal leadership.Analyze operations and workflow to improve efficiency to incorporate into production schedules.Work with sales teams to prepare estimates and bids for clients.Maintain records of estimated and actual costs.Solve operational and supply chain problems using big data.Identify opportunities and deploy tools to drive continuous improvement through data analytics.
