**Job Description**
**AECOM** is seeking a full-time, Onsite Cost Estimator to support the US Army Corps of Engineers for multiple construction projects at Joint Base San Antonio. This position will include preparation of detailed cost estimates by analyzing plans and specifications and performing quantity take-offs for the assigned project. The selected candidate will need to have a strong understanding of contractual terms and conditions. Develop and prepare conceptual estimates using design documents and information using onscreen take-offs and estimating.
**Responsibilities**
+ Develop and prepare conceptual estimates using design documents and information using onscreen take-offs and estimating
+ Develop detailed cost estimates from construction contractor’s viewpoint requiring a careful analysis and comprehensive evaluation of numerous factors under differing and complicating circumstances.
+ Consider the nature, type, and location of project which impacts labor market and costs, contractor availability, productivity, special skills, specialized equipment and testing requirements, material requirements and availability, mobilization and demobilization of construction equipment, location and accessibility, transportation, safety requirements, interest, taxes, insurance, profit, and related factors.
+ Track status in relation to cost and schedule performance.
+ Collect and consolidate available program and project information, assess program/project performance, analyze trends related to cost and schedule performance and identify to the extent possible project problems and areas of concern.
+ Use available information to analyze the overall program and individual projects.
+ Provide a monthly management report to include status and performance to provide management information and tools to maximize the likelihood of successful cost and schedule execution.
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements**
+ BA/BS + 8 years of relevant experience or AA/AS (US) + 10 years of relevant experience or High School Diploma/GED +12 years of relevant experience.
+ Due to the nature of the project US citizenship is required.
+ Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
+ Position requires capability to perform daily walk-throughs of worksite with project manager.
+ Position requires frequent move and work in indoor and outdoor environments with uneven terrain and variable outdoor conditions, including heat, dusts, noise, dry, and moist.
+ Occasionally bending/stooping, working at heights, and repetitive or fine hand movements to perform estimating tasks.
+ Occasional lifting of equipment up to 25 pounds without assistance.
+ Position will include wearing associated personal protective equipment as needed. This equipment includes, but is not limited to gloves, safety glasses/goggles, face shield, safety shoes/boots, hard hat, and hearing protection.
**Preferred Requirements**
+ BS in civil or Construction Engineering, or equivalent work experience
+ 5 years in Heavy Civil Construction Estimating
+ Previous USAC Experience
+ Strong math and analytical skills
+ Knowledge of estimating software
**Additional Information**
+ Due to the nature of the project US citizenship is required.
+ Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $120,000.00 - $160,000.00.
