Key Responsibilities

Project Cost Estimation and Analysis

Support the development and recommendations of cost estimates for projects in Dell's multi-year capital planReview, develop, track, and update detailed cost estimates and budgets during project development and design for inclusion in project funding packagesCompare budget costs to benchmark pricing information, analyze quantities, and scope itemsReview capital plan annually and adjust budget estimates based on market conditions and other factors that impact costsSupport in developing and maintaining project historical cost benchmark for various project types

Financial Management and Risk Assessment

Inform risk register and contingency cost allocations regarding known or possible market, pricing, or supply chain eventsContinuously compare and verify actual costs against approved budgets and detailed cost estimatesTrack and report deviations, variances, or risks in project costsProvide comparison feedback to project management and Dell Real Estate teams

Stakeholder Collaboration

Interact and collaborate with various internal and external clients, stakeholders, internal service providers, project managers, and vendors during development of ROM and detailed budgetsBuild rapport with Dell's Real Estate team, internal service providers, design partners, and contractorsCreate and adhere to standard cadence of check-ins with internal and external stakeholdersFunction as SME and consultant assisting with cost monitoring, solutioning, value engineering, vendor proposal and bid evaluation, and closeout reconciliation

Market Intelligence and Reporting

Maintain understanding and impacts of market conditions in Dell's territoriesStay updated on industry best practices and market trendsReview and provide reporting and analysis on year over year market changes and costs of work for each State or major market within Dell's territoriesPrioritize requests to meet or exceed Dell's expectations

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Accounting, Business, Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management5-10 years of construction, estimating or project controls experienceKnowledge of industry standards and market conditions, costs, and cost databasesStrong analytical skills and mathematical abilitiesAbility to work and communicate effectively within cross-functional teamsHighly organized with attention to detailProficiency in estimating software and spreadsheets

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related fieldProfessional certification in cost estimating (e.g., CCE, CPE)Experience working with enterprise clients in the technology sectorExperience with construction cost management in multiple states/regionsKnowledge of sustainable building practices and associated costs
