Job Description:
Parsons KAFD is looking for an amazingly talented Cost Engineer/QS to join our team! In this role, you will join a professional engineering, construction, and cost management team that is involved in multiple projects in the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD). KAFD is a master plan development positioned to become Riyadh’s new Central Business District that combines a real estate development of approximately 850,000 sqm of office space, 115,000 GLA of retail, 1,200 residential units, 5-star Hotels, and 600 hospitality keys. KAFD is set to be the main enabler of the KSA 2030 vision.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Under the direction of the Senior Commercial Manager, leads all on-site activities for a small project or a subtask of a larger project in accordance with the project schedule. This includes directing and coordinating subcontractor activities in accordance with project/client procedures, scope of work, and contract specifications. Serves as the primary point of contact with the client for all site activities related to assigned area(s) of responsibility.
What You'll Be Doing:
Preparation of monthly cost reports in line with Employer requirements.
Development of cashflow forecasts and monitoring against actuals.
Preparation of monthly accruals in coordination with QS teams.
Consolidation of cost data across multiple EPC and construction contracts.
Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts, EPC frameworks, and PMC reporting standards.
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Primavera Cost) and advanced Excel/Power BI.
Shall have a strong background in multi-contract cost consolidation, Employer reporting discipline, and financial risk analysis
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying/Finance/Engineering, with additional credentials such as PMP and MRICS, and (as an option) be certified as a Cost Professional (AACE CCP).
Requires a comprehensive knowledge of industry business practices and the negotiation of prime contracts.
Strong written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and a working knowledge of PC software packages typically associated with contract administration.
