About the Role

Role implements overall project controls direction through application of systems and methods for estimate development, cost control, progress measurement, management of change, opportunities & vulnerabilities and interface management. In addition to technical ability, they should demonstrate sound communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.

Position: Cost & Schedule Specialist II (Cost Engineer)
Location: Melbourne
Indicative Term of Contract: 12 months

Work Arrangement : 5/2 (Monday – Friday)

Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction ManagementExperience in project controls focused on cost control and understand schedule control achievementsKnowledgeable with company project management best practices framework and key work processesDemonstrated ability to drive creativity, innovation and continuous improvement.Strong Influencing, Consulting, Mentoring, Analytical, and Computing skillsStrong Excel , PowerPoint skills , SAP, preferred Power BI, Aconex

Responsibilities:

Supports project team with ongoing project cost analysis, reporting, forecasting, budgeting, change management ,issues & opportunities management, interface management and planning & budgeting.Coordinate the collecting, analyzing, and reporting of project cost and schedule control information, to ensure overall project status is assessed and potential problem areas identifiedEnsure that the stewardship process is established and implemented, leading to monthly cost and schedule stewardship reviewsEngages with project team and functional teamsCoordinates/Supports development of Capital Project Management System deliverables based on stage of projectLeads preparation for Reviews and Funding activitiesUnderstand project funding basisInterface with finance functions regarding AFEs(Approval for Expenditure)/budgetsMonitoring and appraising the performance of the Contractor(s) in the areas of cost control, progress measurement and provide summary to Project leadership teamCapture and communicate cost lessons learned for projectSupports preparation of Close-out ReportingRespond to ad hoc requests from Project Management Team related to Controls/Reporting
