Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in managing project costs, preparing estimates, and ensuring financial efficiency across our construction and engineering initiatives.

Develop and maintain accurate cost estimates for construction and engineering projectsAnalyze project costs, identify potential cost overruns, and propose cost-saving measuresPrepare and review change orders, evaluating their financial impact on projectsCollaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure cost-effective project executionMonitor project budgets and track actual costs against estimatesConduct cost-benefit analyses for various project alternativesPrepare detailed cost reports and presentations for management and stakeholdersAssist in the development of project budgets and financial forecastsIdentify and mitigate financial risks throughout the project lifecycleContribute to the continuous improvement of cost estimation and control processes

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related fieldMinimum of 10 years of experience in cost engineering or a similar roleProven experience in engineering contract document review and processing change ordersProficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office SuiteStrong mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detailIn-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standardsFamiliarity with project management principles and practicesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyExperience with value engineering and cost optimization techniquesFamiliarity with local construction regulations and standards in Saudi Arabia (preferred)Professional certification such as Certified Cost Professional (CCP) or similar (preferred)
