BAE Systems is seeking a Cost Analyst with exceptional analytic and communication skills to join the Operations Proposal team. In this job, you will: + Develop and prepare Cost Analysis, Commercial Item Determination (CID) and Competitive Analysis on supplier provided data. + Provide material support documentation and price analysis in support of proposal submissions to U.S. Department of Defense customers. + Decompose supplier provided proposal and Cost or Pricing Data into constituent estimating elements for analysis and determination of price reasonableness. + Perform indirect rate analysis and direct labor cost analysis to determine reasonableness of supplier cost burdens applied to direct elements and develop detailed rebuttal position. + Develop walk-down positions by cost element in order to establish summary conclusions and recommendations regarding supplier pricing and provide basis for negotiations. + Conduct market research and price analysis to confirm the commerciality of a proposed part. + Participate in Continuous Improvement projects as needed that enhances the current proposal and Cost/Price analysis process. **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** Required Education: Bachelor Degree preferably in a business, financial or accounting discipline. Required Skills + Be able to prioritize and self-manage a multitasked workload in a fast paced environment + Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written. Includes writing reports of significant complexity and length. + Utilize analytical and computer skills and various software packages (Excel, Word) to prepare appropriate reports and documents. + Attention to detail. + Support the analysis, evaluation, development and implementation process and system improvements within budget while adhering to strict time requirements and schedule. **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** Experience in proposal preparation with a working knowledge of Project Finance, Contracts or Subcontract Administration with a working knowledge of Cost & Price Analysis for Department of Defense procurements. A working understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR) with an emphasis on FAR/DFAR compliant proposals. Familiarity with Cost Accounting Standards, Contract Cost Principles and Procedures, and Accounting and Proposal preparation procedures. **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $55295 - $94001 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
