Cost Accounting Manager
If you are a Cost Accounting Manager professional looking for an opportunity to grow your career, this position in Eger, Hungary offers the chance to lead cost accounting activities for our valves manufacturing and distribution operations. You will ensure accurate product costing, inventory valuation, and margin analysis while supporting expanding responsibilities across multiple European legal entities and driving SAP and process standardization. This is an on‑site role, as close collaboration with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Finance partners is essential to success. **In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:** + Lead core cost accounting activities, including standard costing, WIP, inventory valuation, and variance analysis. + Maintain and improve product costing models in SAP, ensuring accurate BOMs, routings, labor standards, and overhead structures. + Analyze manufacturing variances, identify cost‑optimization opportunities, and support engineered‑to‑order and configure‑to‑order cost modeling. + Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Finance to support new product introductions, process improvements, and cost‑reduction initiatives. + Oversee month‑end close activities and ensure compliance with internal controls, inventory policies, and cost‑accounting standards. + Provide clear cost, margin, and profitability insights to support strategic decisions and business planning. + Mentor and guide cost accounting team members, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement. **Who You Are:** You make sound decisions by leveraging data, insights, and business understanding.
