Cost Accounting Manager The Costing Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the cost accounting function within the organization. This role ensures accurate cost analysis, supports strategic decision-making, and contributes to financial planning and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of manufacturing or service costing methodologies. **Key Responsibilities:** + Develop and maintain cost accounting systems and processes. + Analyze production costs, material costs, labor costs, and overhead expenses. + Prepare cost reports and forecasts for management review. + Collaborate with operations, procurement, and finance teams to identify cost-saving opportunities. + Monitor inventory valuation and ensure accurate cost allocation. + Support budgeting and financial planning activities. + Conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actions. + Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards. + Lead costing audits and support external audit requirements. + Provide training and guidance to junior costing staff. **Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred). + Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting or financial analysis. + Strong knowledge of ERP systems and advanced Excel skills. + Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or service industry costing. + Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. + Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. **Preferred Skills:** + Experience with SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP platforms. + Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies. + Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
