Description The Accounting Manager will be responsible for monthly close process, preparation of monthly financial statements and business reporting, the development and administration of controls and processes, inventory management, as well as other general accounting responsibilities as required. Essential Functions: 1. Responsible for monthly close process and timely development of financial statements for all companies. Prepares worksheets, trial balances and records journal entries for accruals and recurring/standard activities. 2. Work cross functionally to develop, document, and administer accounting and business controls, including inventory management, cycle count processes, and AR/AP policies. 3. Maintain and update weekly/monthly business performance dashboards (sales, operations, etc.), includes extracting and organizing data, as well as identifying, researching, and providing feedback and recommendations on key variances and opportunities. 4. Regularly monitor inventory valuation, create usage reports and identify slow moving inventory. Identify items to be cycle counted and process inventory adjustments. 5. Review and reconcile the payroll submitted to the third-party payroll company. Ensures payroll is accurately posted to general ledger. 6. Maintains fixed asset records and related depreciation schedules, includes preparation of municipal property tax declarations. 7. Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts of the organization. Update and maintain budget/forecast models. 8. Weekly corporate KPI’s for CFO and CEO. 10. Weekly Actual vs. Forecasted reporting. 11. Oversee AP, AR, and Payroll. Requirements Month End Close, General Ledger, Financial Statement Audits, Account Reconciliation, Journal Entries, Annual Physical Inventory, Bachelors in Accounting or Finance.
