Cost Accounting Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Accounting Manager to oversee and maintain precise costing systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. This role offers the opportunity to lead a team of professionals and contribute significantly to financial performance goals.

ResponsibilitiesOversee and maintain precise standard and activity-based costing systems.Perform cost analyses to evaluate profitability by product line, customer segment, or business unit.Track and report cost variances, identifying key drivers such as materials, labor, and overhead.Ensure accurate inventory valuation—including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods—in compliance with IFRS and public company standards.Partner with operations to optimize inventory levels, minimize waste, and enhance production efficiency.Supervise cycle counts and physical inventory procedures to ensure data integrity.Generate comprehensive cost analysis reports for internal leadership and external stakeholders.Contribute to the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with SEC requirements.Support internal and external audits, including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance efforts.Assist in creating and monitoring budgets and forecasts related to manufacturing costs and overhead.Deliver insights and strategic recommendations to support financial performance goals.Identify opportunities to enhance cost accounting procedures and reporting accuracy.Lead cost-reduction initiatives across production, supply chain, and procurement functions.Utilize ERP systems and automation tools to improve data quality and operational efficiency.Manage and mentor a team of cost accounting professionals, offering guidance, training, and career development.Promote a collaborative and accountable culture across finance and operations teams.Essential SkillsActive CPA and Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance or related field.5+ years of cost accounting leadership experience.SOX/SEC experience with public company or public accounting with public clients.Proficiency in Excel, including creating and manipulating VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and other intermediate to complex formulas.Experience with SAP.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in system implementation.IFRS experience.Advanced Excel skills.Work Environment

The role operates within a relaxed and close-knit team environment, reporting to the Director and managing a team of four people. Work hours are Monday to Friday, within an 8-hour day from 8 AM to 5:30 PM.
