Cost Accounting Analyst

Job Description

You will be a member of the global Cost Accounting team, reporting into a team lead. You will work with the EMEA and Asia manufacturing sites on matters related to physical inventories, variances to standards, issue identification and implementation of the corrective actions. You should have experience supporting business partners, financial and systems skills with focus on efficiency, and exemplary communication skills.

Your Responsibilities:Ensure the accuracy of individual plant manufacturing processesTrack and analyze production variances, scrap, cycle counts and material variancesMonitor outstanding work orders and ensure they are accounted forProvide feedback to the appropriate individuals and initiate corrective actionsWork with the manufacturing floor to resolve issues before month endCommunicate results to the plant FP&A teamPerform month/quarter/year end activities in SAPMonitor closing settlement activities in SAP, settle orders and calculate work in progress if necessaryCalculate, process and analyze in transit and other reserves to ensure inventory valuationInventory accounts reconciliationParticipate in the annual cost roll processAnalyze year over year standard cost changes and the impact on the revaluation of inventoryConduct physical inventory audits, verify the procedures and analyze the resultsParticipate in SAP go-lives and data validation

The Essentials - You Will Have:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or similar3+ years finance or related business experienceStrong analytical skills, systems knowledge and critical thinkingWorking knowledge of SAP or other ERP systemExcellent skills in EnglishStrong MS Office skillsAbility for periodic short-term travel to plants (2-4 times per year)Impeccable sense of business ethicsThe Preferred - You Might Also Have:Knowledge of Power BIPrior exposure to finance activities in an industrial manufacturing environment
