Cost Accountant Details:

Direct Hire position$70,000.00 to $90,000.00 /annuallySalariedManage General Ledger activities: journal entries, account reconciliations, vendor credits, purchase price variance, and process improvementsOversee Cost Accounting: monitor bills of materials, manufacturing variances, direct costs, and ERP burden rates; ensure accuracy of standard vs. actual costsSupport Month-End close: reconcile balance sheet accounts, manage payroll/expense accruals, depreciation, and intangible asset trackingAssist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable when needed: invoice processing, reconciliations, vendor/customer account resolution, 1099 preparationProvide system support: collaborate with IT on accounting system changes, test/validate upgrades, and train end usersSupport reporting and analysis: track, allocate, and analyze financial data to support decision-makingAdditional tasks as needed: answering phones, greeting visitors, and providing coverage for colleagues during absences

Cost Accountant Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting 3+ years of cost accounting experience (manufacturing experience strongly preferred)Strong ERP and data entry experienceAdvanced Microsoft Excel skillsStrong knowledge of US GAAP, debits/credits, and financial reportingHighly organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication skills (verbal and written) with a professional, team-oriented approach
