Cost Accountant
We’re looking for an on-site Cost Accountant in the manufacturing industry based in Surrey, BC.

The Cost Accountant will be responsible for overseeing cost accounting activities, providing insights into production and operations, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This role plays a key part in supporting leadership with timely and meaningful analysis to guide strategic decision-making.

Cost Accountant responsibilities:

Maintain and analyze cost accounting records and reports Prepare and review product costing, margin analysis, and variance reporting Support budgeting and forecasting processes with accurate cost data Partner with operations to identify cost savings and efficiency opportunities Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards Assist with month-end close and financial statement preparation Provide clear reporting to management on cost trends and performance

The successful candidate has:

5 or more years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within manufacturing CPA designation or CPA in progress Strong knowledge of cost accounting and financial analysis Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Advanced Excel and ERP system experience Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

Compensation and benefits:

The discussed salary range is $100,000 – $115,000 depending on experience Candidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be considered Comprehensive benefits package Support for continued professional development Opportunity to grow within a stable and expanding company Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.
