Job Title: Cost Accountant

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join our team. This role is pivotal in collecting and analyzing cost information, particularly focusing on raw products and inventory. The successful candidate will be well-versed in determining cost standards and will work closely with our Manufacturing Accounting Production Information Controls System.

Responsibilities

Collect and analyze cost information related to raw products and inventory.Determine and analyze cost standards.Utilize the MAPICS system for effective cost management in a manufacturing setting.Prepare and maintain Excel dashboards, using tools like VLookups and Pivot Tables.Conduct cost accounting and analysis, focusing on inventory and materials.Participate in month-end closing processes and reporting.Assist with financial forecasting and the preparation of financial statements.

Essential Skills

Bachelor's degree in Accounting.Minimum of 2 years experience in cost accounting, specifically related to raw products and inventory.Proficiency in Excel, including VLookups and Pivot Tables.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with manufacturing ERP systems.Recent experience in analyzing and understanding cost standards.Leadership ability or experience in leading a team.

Work Environment

This position requires working in-office from 8 AM to 5 PM. You will be part of a small, privately owned company that is deeply invested in the community and local charities.

This is a permanent position based out of Ellettsville, Indiana

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $105000.00 - $120000.00/yr.

401K Match and yearly bonuses to salary.

This is a fully onsite position in Ellettsville,IN.
