Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to join a dynamic organization. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing, analyzing, and reporting on cost structures while providing actionable insights to improve efficiency and profitability. You'll work closely with finance leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure effective cost management, accurate financial reporting, and compliance with organizational goals. + Analyze costs associated with manufacturing, supply chain, and operational activities to identify trends and areas for improvement + Prepare detailed cost reports and present findings to management for strategic decision-making. + Collaborate with leadership and departmental teams to develop cost budgets and forecasts that align with company objectives + Monitor cost performance and update forecasts as needed. + Develop accurate measures of product and service costs, including material, labor, and overhead expenses. + Maintain cost accounting systems to ensure accuracy and consistency. + Reconcile inventory costs and ensure proper valuation across the organization's operations. + Perform variance analysis focusing on production efficiency and operational expenses. + Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. + Work with auditors and regulatory agencies to provide documentation for cost-related inquiries. + Partner with procurement, engineering, and operations teams to understand cost drivers and suggest process improvements. + Actively contribute to cost-reduction initiatives and efficiency programs. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, CMA, or other relevant certification preferred. 3+ years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in manufacturing, construction, or similar industries. Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), advanced Excel skills, and familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
