Description We are looking for an experienced Cost Accountant to join our clients dynamic team in the San Joaquin County. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in manufacturing cost accounting and a passion for optimizing operational budgets. You will play a vital role in ensuring accurate cost analyses and fostering collaboration with plant management to enhance productivity. Contact Edgar Gonzalez 209.395.2259 Responsibilities: • Monitor and track production expenses to ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines. • Analyze cost variances and provide actionable insights to improve operational efficiency. • Collaborate with plant management and General Manager to streamline processes and enhance cost reporting accuracy. • Build strong relationships with plant teams to ensure effective communication and teamwork. • Conduct detailed evaluations of manufacturing costs and implement strategies for cost optimization. • Support the Controller and Accounts Payable team in achieving financial objectives. • Assist in preparing financial forecasts and budgets to support operational goals. • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Requirements • Proven expertise in tracking production costs and analyzing variances. • Strong familiarity with standard cost accounting practices. • Experience working directly with plant managers and operational teams. • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to foster collaboration across departments. • Ability to provide strategic insights for cost optimization and budget management.
