Cost Accountant

Job Summary

The Cost Accountant serves as the financial business partner to operations and plant leadership. Reporting to the Site Controller, they will play a critical role in supporting Pre-Source and Convertors in El Paso, TX.

Responsibilities

Prepare monthly balance sheet/inventory reconciliations

Responsible for coordinating annual cost build for the Pre-Source Group and providing analysis after each simulation run

Responsible for reconciling the Pre-Source rebate process

Assist in Convertors product cost builds for annual plans

Prepares monthly Pre-Source E&O for review and quarterly analysis with true up

Prepares monthly Intercompany journal entries ensuring ledgers are correct

Prepares monthly Intercompany payments

Demonstrates proficiency of technical tools and financial systems

Responsible in assisting Convertors Plants with inventory related issues especially inventory in-transit

Prepare journal entries for manufacturing variances and inventory reconciliations

Train, assist, and work with plant cost accountants as needed

Serves as an objective financial steward with an enterprise perspective, safeguarding our company's assets. Ensures strong controls are in place and the company's intellectual property is protected.

Drives business value by providing financial and analytical counsel to facilitate decision-marking around strategic business initiatives especially cost reduction projects. Identifies and executes upon process improvement opportunities.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in accounting preferred, or equivalent work experience

3+ years experience in cost accounting preferred

Anticipated salary range: $69,300 - $99,000
