Dawoud Kazimee with Robert Half is looking for a skilled Cost Accountant to join our team in Newberg, Oregon. This role is essential for overseeing cost analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in cost accounting principles and demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze and maintain standard costs for products and components to ensure accurate financial data.
• Monitor manufacturing variances and inventory valuation, providing timely reports and insights.
• Support month-end and year-end financial close processes, specifically in cost accounting functions.
• Conduct detailed financial analyses to guide strategic business decisions.
• Evaluate trends, costs, revenues, and commitments to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare comprehensive financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Assist in the creation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Perform budget-to-actual variance analysis and deliver actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with department leaders to align financial objectives and streamline reporting processes.
• Utilize tools like Microsoft Query, Excel, and Power BI to develop dashboards and automate reporting for real-time decision-making.

Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook; familiarity with Power BI and Microsoft Query is a plus.
• Demonstrated expertise in standard cost accounting and financial analysis.
• Experience working with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
