Our people division is growing, and we are looking for an Electrical and Power Superintendent at our Cortez operations. The successful candidate will ensure that all maintenance service activities operate within safety, security, and environmental policies and regulations to protect the employees and assets of the company.

Responsibilities:
Review and assist in the implementation of new policies, procedures and practices that decrease equipment and fixed asset total cost of ownership
Establish plans, policies and procedures which extend the useful life of existing equipment and fixed assets
Optimize preventive existing maintenance plans and programs thereby reducing downtime related to equipment and fixed assets
Ensure all equipment performance targets and work management KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) are achieved within the constraints of the maintenance budget
Develop annual budgets, prepare and submit capital budget
Participate in incident investigations, ensuring corrective actions are successfully implemented and tracked
Lead the maintenance team in continuous improvement of maintenance management practices and performance through the incorporation of technology and systems.

Qualifications:
BSc degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Mine Engineering, or equivalent trade qualifications consisting of more than five years of maintenance technician and/or maintenance leadership roles requiredTen (10) years direct experience to maintenance and reliability of mining equipment preferredMine shaft and hoisting system experience preferredBudgeting and cost management experience requiredExcellent safety and environmental track record requiredMobile, fixed and electrical background preferredProficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project and MS Outlook requiredFamiliarity with computerized maintenance systems such as Oracle and eAM requiredProficiency in conducting failure analysis and root cause investigation techniques preferredDemonstrated ability to lead, influence and work optimally in a team required
