Our people division is growing, and we are looking for an Open Pit Tire technician at our Cortez operations.

 Responsibilities:Maintain all tires on mine equipment, including passenger light vehicles and all off road vehiclesMaintaining correct air pressures and tread depthsInspecting and removing worn or failed tires and installing replacement tiresRepairing all repairable tiresComplete routine maintenance activities for the purpose of ensuring the availability and safe functioning of large mining, support equipment fleetsMaintain shop areas, tools, and service vehicles to ensure a clean and safe work environmentPerform daily pre-shift work inspections and participate in individual and group hazard identification processesThe ability to work a rotating schedule of nights and days is an essential function of this role.Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications:Two (2) plus years of experience in maintenance of mobile, farm, trucking, aircraft, military or support equipment preferredBasic knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics requiredAbility to work safely and effectively with minimal supervision requiredAbility to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of people requiredExperience handling tires preferredAbility to accomplish strenuous physical labor under all weather conditions requiredLift at least 50 lbs. requiredProven safe work record with belief and value seen in courageous leadership model requiredAbility to be an initial team member in a growing, fast paced environment, and support team in attainment of safety, environmental, equipment protection and production goals with a proven safety record requiredHousekeeping standards are maintained to a high level requiredGood written and verbal communication skills required
