Minimum Qualifications Three years of supervisory-level experience in a correctional institution, penal institution, or prison enterprises plus one of the following: 1. Six years of full-time experience in any field; or 2. A bachelor's degree. OR A master's degree plus two years of supervisory-level experience in a correctional institution, penal institution, or prison enterprises; OR A doctorate plus one year of supervisory-level experience in a correctional institution, penal institution, or prison enterprises. Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: + Maintains a thorough knowledge of Department of Public Safety and Corrections, Correctional Services and EHCC Institutional directives, policies and procedures, State, Federal Laws and Acts, as well as requirements for ACA Standards compliance. + The incumbent of this position will be responsible for supervising the overall operations of assigned Unit Security. + Inspect the institution on a daily basis to ensure the proper execution of security, maintenance, and Life Safety Code requirements of the facility and equipment. Inspections are made before, during and after regular business hours and workdays. + Inspects all buildings and the grounds to ensure proper security and other institutional procedures are enforced.
