Who We Are The Office of the Commandant (OOC) serves and supports departments within the Corps of Cadets that are critically engaged in all aspects of student development and the delivery of key services and support. This position will be part of a centralized team that supports the athletics team and Cadet lead sports team travel. Job Description Summary The Corps Athletics Program Coordinator will assist Commandant’s staff members with daily operations in support of intramural sports, club sports, and/or functional fitness programs for the Corps of Cadets. Qualifications Required Education + High School Diploma. Preferred Qualifications + Experience in a competitive sports setting. + Bachelor's Degree. + Familiarity with TAMU Corps of Cadets. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities + Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications: Excel, Word, Teams, OneDrive, Outlook. + Familiarity with TeamSnap sports management application. + Demonstrated leadership in athletics or student organizations. Responsibilities Club Sports + Provide administrative support for cadet-led Corps of Cadets club sports teams, which compete against club teams around the state and nation. + Inventory and issue of uniforms and equipment. + Assist with travel and lodging as needed. + Maintain team rosters and schedules. + Manage travel schedule and ensure each team has an advisor-approved OPORD, submits required form to Student Activities, and complies with all University and System rules governing student organization travel and all applicable guidance from Commandant. + Process receipts and invoices. + Assist with reservations of courts and fields as needed. + Facilitate communication with Corps PR and CCA for recognition of teams on social media, Commandant newsletters, and CCA publications. + Assist with event planning as needed, e.g., Sports Banquet. Administrative + Assist club team captains with checking out uniforms and equipment, turning in receipts, seeking help or guidance. + Assist cadet commanders and staff with issues related to intramural sports or functional fitness equipment. Intramural Sports + Assist with development, implementation, and support for cadet-led, staff-facilitated, inter-unit sports competition. + These sports and events take place throughout fall and spring semesters, culminating with awards presentations on Family Weekend. + Inventory and issue of equipment as needed. + Scheduling officials. + Maintaining updated results to be shared with Corps from week to week. + Coordination with Dept of Recreational Sports/IM Sports Office as needed.
