Corporate Tax - Associate

As a Transfer Pricing Associate in our Corporate Tax Hub India team, you will spend each day defining, refining, and delivering set goals for our firm. Reporting to the team leader of the transfer pricing vertical, you will work closely with local Corporate Tax teams across the APAC and EMEA regions to support key tax initiatives and ensure compliance with global transfer pricing requirements.

 

Job responsibilities 

Prepare/review transfer pricing documentation as guided by local Corporate Tax teamEnsure local TP compliances for the assigned countries are completed within the given timeframe Provide support to global tax team on preparation of country-by-country reporting, master file and other ad-hoc advisory assignmentsProvide support and coordinate with external consultants on transfer pricing auditsUnderstand the different lines of business under which the organization operates and global pricing policies for its transactionsWork closely with the finance and accounting team to ensure completeness and full disclosure of intercompany transactionsPrepare draft tax computation for entities in accordance to local tax regulations as guided by regional Corporate Tax team Prepare quarterly corporate tax provisions (including internal US tax reporting), tax account reconciliations and ensure that the tax balances are well supported with working papers, preparation of tax balance sheets for local tax purposes and deferred tax purposes under guidance of local corporate tax teamAssist with the development of new processes and ensure they are clearly documented, communicated, and delivered against success criteriaWork to strict and tight deadlines according to the local reporting requirements in the jurisdictions which the team supports. Ensure issues are raised / escalated and driven through to resolution. Ensure risks & dependencies are highlighted, with mitigation options presentedParticipate in initiatives and projects driven by global mandates by senior tax leadership

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Meticulous with strong analytical skills and a high aptitude for numbers and MS office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) proficiencyExcellent communication and written skills with clear, concise & logical documentation abilityGood analytical skills and ability to technically discuss with regional Corporate Tax teams where necessaryTeam player with ability to work with colleagues in a collaborative manner, as well as being able to proactively progress multiple tasks independently

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

CA or CA equivalent preferred with at least 5 years of relevant experience. Commerce graduates and CA inter qualified candidates with strong exposure in Transfer Pricing or good knowledge of Tax Accounting concepts may be consideredKnowledge of financial markets and banking preferred
