CORPORATE SECURITY MANAGER - INDONESIA
This role serves as JTI’s security lead in Indonesia, with delegated authority from the Regional Corporate Security Director, working closely with the General Manager, Factory Operations Director, and management team. The role provides strategic, risk-based security oversight and support across all JTI entities, operations, and projects in the country, covering program development, review, and maintenance. Key responsibilities include risk assessments, crisis management, personnel, travel, event and executive security, stakeholder engagement with internal leaders and external law enforcement and intelligence agencies, security audits, physical security management, background checks, due diligence, investigations, and leading the market and factory security teams, with potential regional support as required.
As the Corporate Security Manager, you will do:
Risk and Crisis Management: This person leads country efforts in identifying, developing, implementing, and maintaining security processes, practices and policies to reduce risk, respond to incidents, and limit exposure and liability through the development and maintenance of Country Security Risk Register. The overriding aim of all strategies and recommendations is to bring value from security for the business and to enable the JTI Indonesia Market and GSC operations to meet their operational objectives. This person is a core member of the Country Crisis Management Team. As such, provides operational security support during crisis, investigative support as requested, and crisis/incident management training to sites and market teams. This person identifies trends and standard processes in the international business environment and make recommendations to the Regional Corporate Security Director on development of policies and strategies to reduce vulnerability of JTI assets in Indonesia. People and Asset Security: Through subordinate market and factory security supervisors and selected vendors, this person handles the implementation of programs and support to ensure the security of executives, employees, stakeholders, visitors, etc. at their place of work and while on business travel within the market. The provision of security support to personnel conducting business for JT/JTI in Indonesia, to include personal protection, pre-travel or in-country security briefings, residential security surveys, special event security, ground and air transportation advice, meet and greet assistance, and advise on special projects. This person assists on the annual Regional CS Audit Plan and conducts security audits and assessments and follow-up recommendations of business operations. In coordination with RCSD and other functions like Compliance, Corporate Audit, Legal, People & Culture, H&S, and Operations, the individual will conduct objective investigations of security-related allegations or incidents as required. Assists the RCSD to lead Indonesia supply chain security programs to protect operations and products while ensuring brand integrity. Provides consultation to minimize supply chain losses, brand erosion and illicit product availability in the market. Networking: Internally - maintain and develop effective working relationships with the Indonesia Market GM, Factory Lead and members of the local EXCOM and management teams. Develops networks throughout all functions and levels to promote and drive global security initiatives. Briefs the Market GM and Factory Lead on the status of security issues and emerging threats. Externally - develops relationships with national and local law enforcement, business partners, and national counterparts to include in-country security agencies, intelligence and private sector counterparts. Engages, by membership, in public and private security associations. Financial Management: The incumbent is encouraged to exercise effective and efficient financial management of the JTI Indonesia security program which requires planning and presentation of an annual budget (LE, ASP and SPC), updates on budget within regular intervals (outlooks) and providing RCSD and Finance with appropriate reports on YTD actuals and variances. Management of local contracts with security service vendors for guarding operations, technology applications and specialized consulting and investigative support. Talent Management: The incumbent handles and leads direct reports. They ensure these employees continue developing in their role and function. They contribute to business value and support career goals. They are also part of an ongoing succession plan. The incumbent is encouraged to take an active role in their ongoing development within the CS Talent Development Program.
Who are we looking for?
University graduate or equivalent experience in a relevant field. At least 8 years’ military, law enforcement or intelligence experience, or private sector corporate security experience. Proven experience in Corporate Security (CS) strategy development, working in consultation with CS VP and RCSD, aligned with Global and Regional CS directives. Strong people leadership and succession planning experience, leading direct reports and partnering with P&C Business Partners to develop CS talent within the AOR. Accountable for the timely and effective delivery of CS programs and initiatives, collaborating with Market & Factory Management and CS teams to enable business strategy. Experience monitoring and reporting CS function performance and supporting the design, roll-out, and implementation of Corporate Security projects in line with Global CS guidelines. Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective engagement/negotiation with collaborators at all levels. Proficient in MS Office suite and capable of delivering professional presentations.What to expect
