Job Summary

Papa Johns Corporate Affairs team leads the company’s Corporate Responsibility strategy in partnership with teams across the business, creating value by engaging team members, franchisees and other stakeholders, strengthening brand and reputation, and make a positive impact in our communities.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Corporate Affairs & Sustainability, the Corporate Responsibility Manager is responsible for Papa Johns annual reporting strategy, data collection and analysis, and identifying and implementing environmental initiatives in partnership with teams across the company.

     
Duties and Responsibilities (other duties as assigned)

Lead all aspects of Papa Johns annual Corporate Responsibility report, including reporting strategy, project management, data collection, drafting and coordinating feedback and reviews. Support development of disclosures related to reporting frameworks such as TCFD, SASB, GRI, and others.

Develop and implement systems for collecting, reporting and analyzing data related to Papa Johns environmental footprint, including energy use, Scope 1, 2 and 3 greenhouse gas emissions, packaging, waste management, water use, and others. 

Identify and project manage initiatives related to focus areas including climate risks, energy and resource management, packaging, transportation, waste management and others. Facilitate collaboration among internal teams to support these initiatives, with functions including Supply Chain, Operations, Design & Construction, Legal, Communications, and others 

Lead assurance process for greenhouse gas inventory, including managing third-party audit/assurance vendor

Support Corporate Responsibility committee, including priority topics, agenda-setting, content development and meeting facilitation

Support engagement with investors, suppliers, NGOs and other stakeholders on relevant topics and issues 

Monitor emerging regulations, industry trends, peer companies and reporting frameworks related to the company’s priority Corporate Responsibility topics. Produce concise briefs for internal decision makers to identify opportunities and stay informed and prepared for risks

Education, Experience & Certifications

5-7 years of relevant professional work experience within a corporate environment or consulting experience 

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business Management 

Experience with Food & Beverage operations and supply chains preferred 

Functional Skills

Strong organization skills, with ability to coordinate project timelines, facilitate cross functional groups 

Effective interpersonal skills and ability to engage and influence stakeholders without direct authority as a collaborative business partner

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to convey complex information, context and business impact of issues to diverse audiences at varying levels of the organization

Highly motivated self-starter that takes initiative, thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and excels when given opportunities to work autonomously 

High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
