Job Description

The Corporate Recruiter leads full-cycle recruitment efforts to attract, evaluate, and hire top talent across the organization. This role partners closely with hiring teams to define position requirements, develop effective sourcing strategies, and guide candidates through each stage of the hiring process. The recruiter also supports campus and early talent initiatives, contributes to talent acquisition projects, and tracks key metrics to continuously improve recruiting effectiveness.

ResponsibilitiesManage full-cycle recruitment for assigned roles, including creating and posting job advertisements, reviewing resumes, conducting phone screens, providing candidate recommendations, scheduling interviews, and extending offers of employment.Communicate job requirements, role expectations, and company culture clearly to candidates, ensuring they understand the opportunity and addressing all inquiries in a professional and timely manner.Partner with hiring managers to identify the skills, knowledge, and abilities required for each opening, and define selection criteria to evaluate and identify qualified candidates.Initiate and coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring all pre-start requirements and documentation are completed accurately and on time.Participate in college recruitment efforts by identifying new campus recruitment opportunities, preparing materials, attending career fairs and campus events, and assisting with the intern hiring process.Assist with and, when appropriate, lead various talent acquisition projects and initiatives aimed at improving recruiting processes, tools, and candidate experience.Utilize a variety of tools and resources to identify and engage qualified active and passive candidates, including those for hard-to-fill roles.Lead routine staffing update meetings with hiring teams to review open roles, candidate pipelines, and hiring progress.Track and report metrics related to talent acquisition to monitor performance, identify trends, and support data-driven decision-making.Essential Skills5+ years of experience in recruiting and/or talent acquisition.Demonstrated experience managing full-cycle recruitment processes, including job posting, screening, interviewing, and offer management.Proven ability to source and engage passive candidates, particularly for hard-to-fill roles.Experience partnering with hiring managers to define job requirements and selection criteria.Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain job requirements, expectations, and organizational culture to candidates.Background in recruiting, talent acquisition, human resources, or hiring functions.Degree required, with an equivalent combination of education and experience considered.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrior experience recruiting within the construction or manufacturing industry is a plus.Experience participating in or leading college recruitment efforts, including career fairs and campus events.Familiarity with tracking and interpreting talent acquisition metrics.Ability to contribute to or lead talent acquisition projects and process improvement initiatives.Work Environment

The role offers a hybrid work arrangement with a typical schedule of three days in the office and two days working from home, contingent on strong performance and typically available after an initial six-month period. The recruiter collaborates regularly with hiring managers and talent acquisition team members and uses various recruiting tools and resources to source and manage candidates. The environment emphasizes professionalism, clear communication, and accountability for meeting staffing goals and maintaining a positive candidate experience.

This is a Contract position based out of Des Moines, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $36.06/hr.
