Administers security surveillance and conducts criminal investigations while enforcing laws and institutional regulations that promote the protection and safety of SCI assets, associates, and guests on SCI property. Manage investigations in concert with local law enforcement.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Investigates criminal activity and coordinates efforts and discovery with local law enforcement. Conducts skillful interviews of suspects, complainants, and witnesses to obtain information beneficial to the investigation and the apprehension and conviction of offenders. Conducts crime scene searches appropriately searching for and preserving evidence; maintains evidence custody records. Takes crime scene photos. Reviews security / surveillance footage. Conducts surveillance, investigations and internal investigationsPrepares investigative and activity reports, maintains records, follows evidence custody procedures, and responds to correspondence. Maintains confidentiality including securing evidence from unintentional breach. Builds working relationship with law enforcement agencies to facilitate cooperative investigations. Gives credible testimony in the criminal and civil courts.Emergency call out may be required to remain onsite or work extended hours during man-made or natural disastersInitiates investigations, identifies vulnerabilities in control processes and formulates recommendations for risk mitigation.Consults internal partners and provides expertise on investigations. Provides consultative advice to internal clients on fraud schemes, regulatory compliance, and reporting requirements.Initiates electronic evidence preservation and retrieval methodology when appropriate.Works closely with law enforcement agencies and testifies in criminal and civil litigation as expert witness as well as subject matter involving fraud and theft.Writes comprehensive reports of investigative findings that are reviewed internally and utilized by law enforcement in the prosecution of persons charged with fraud and theft.Leads investigative project team, collects and analyzed date, draws conclusions, develops recommendations and formulates reports.Provides executive and senior management with liaison and protection when necessary.Learning to apply formal education to business environment complying with regulations and policies. Works under general guidance; work may be peer reviewed for accuracy, quality, and education; escalates issues to manager for assistance and guidance. Exhibits accountability for behaviors. Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.Takes the initiative to discuss assignments, expectations, priorities and deadlines as well as seek guidance and coaching from manager. Notifies manager when workload is light and volunteers for additional work. Adjusts effectively to work within new work structures, processes, requirements or cultures.Minimum Requirements
Education
High School diploma or equivalent ; College Degree preferredCertifications & Licenses
TCOLE Master Peace Officer certificationExperience
At least ten (10) years’ experience verifiable criminal investigating theft, fraud and burglary investigations to include interviewing techniquesElectronic surveillance system administration experienceVerifiable relationships with local, state, and federal law enforcement agenciesKnowledge, Skills and Abilities
