Insurance Coordinator II
The Insurance Coordinator II plays a critical role in supporting the insurance department by overseeing captive payment processing and maintaining accurate financial records. This position acts as a liaison between internal teams and external vendors to ensure smooth communication and efficient resolution of payment and remittance issues. The Coordinator is responsible for the upkeep of the cashbook and performing regular reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Process captive payments promptly and accurately, ensuring all transactions comply with company policies.
+ Manage remittance information, ensuring documentation is complete and properly recorded.
+ Maintain and reconcile the cashbook regularly to ensure financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
+ Communicate effectively with internal partners, such as finance and operations teams, as well as external vendors and service providers.
+ Assist with resolving payment discrepancies and inquiries in a timely manner.
+ Support month-end closing activities related to payment processing and reconciliations.
+ Identify opportunities for process improvements within payment and reconciliation workflows.
+ Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and company standards related to payment processing.

Qualifications
+ Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. High School or GED, required.
+ Experience:
+ One year Property Casualty experience, preferred.
+ Two years Healthcare setting or Insurance office experience, preferred.
+ Licensure/Certification: CISR, preferred.
+ Additional Skills (required):
+ Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills
+ Understanding of the principles of property and casualty insurance, i.e., concepts and terminology
+ Experience with insurance renewal process, premium invoicing, and policy maintenance
+ Familiarity with Certificates of Insurance, ability to understand, obtain and file appropriately
+ Above average computer skills, skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
+ Minimum typing speed of 55 wpm.
+ Must have superior organization, interpersonal and communication skills.
