Our team focuses on playing the role of lead financial advisers in sell-side and buy-side transactions.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Associate focused on the Public Sector, you will support governments, public enterprises, and regulatory bodies in solving complex business issues, from strategy through to execution, including evaluating, structuring, and executing M&A and investment transactions. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Collaborating with government ministries, public agencies, and state-owned enterprises across sectors such as transport, energy, healthcare, housing, culture, and real estate.
Advising public sector clients across the full investment transaction and project lifecycle, taking an integrated approach to originating, structuring, executing, and realizing value from deals.
Assisting in the execution of M&A transactions involving public entities, including acquisitions, disposals, mergers, joint ventures and partnerships.
Conducting sector-specific research (e.g., infrastructure, healthcare, education, energy) and prepare market and benchmarking analyses tailored to public-sector dynamics.
Assisting in the preparation of internal and external marketing materials such as teasers, confidential information memoranda (CIM), and management presentations.
Obtaining necessary information from available client data and conducting appropriate financial analysis.
Building and reviewing financial models and valuation analyses (e.g., DCF, precedent transactions, public comps) to support strategic recommendations.
Assisting in managing transaction execution, including due diligence coordination, investor engagement, preparing status reports, and managing multiple counterparts to meet transaction deadlines.
Actively participating in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities with new and existing clients.
Developing internal relationships and enhancing your PwC brand.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, ACCA) is preferred.
3+ years of experience in M&A, corporate finance, investment banking, or valuation — preferably with exposure to the public sector.
Prior exposure to end-to-end Merger & Acquisition deal execution and understanding of the M&A transaction process and key execution steps.
Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
Excellent understanding of financial statements and valuation techniques
Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
Proven experience of delivering high-quality strategic engagements across multiple industries.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, in Arabic and English.
High level of attention to detail and accuracy with an ability to work under pressure.
Willingness and flexibility to travel across the Middle East as required by client engagements.
