Corporate Employment Counsel
**Job Summary** Description **Summary:** Advises the Company’s clients concerning their legal rights, obligations and privileges. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** include the following. Other duties may be assigned. + Candidate should have litigation experience and 4 to 15 years of private sector and/or in-house employment law experience handling federal, state and local employment laws and regulations, including the following: + Title VII and other EEO laws + FMLA + FLSA + OSHA + Employment agreements, both individual and collective + Education training on employment laws + Employee Benefits, preferred but not required + Candidate must have the ability to multi-task and provide day to day employment advice to Human Resources employees and management at medical facilities including hospitals, physician groups, etc. + Candidate should have excellent analytical and communication skills. **Education:** + Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree. Tennessee law license; or a law license from another state if that state requires a J.D. Degree, passage of a post J.D. Uniform Bar Examination (UBE) or higher and the ability to pass the Tennessee Bar Examination and obtain a Tennessee law license on an In-House Counsel License. **Experience:** + 4+ years’ private sector legal experience required, with litigation experience and preferably experience with health care facilities **Physical Requirements** + Visual capability and digital dexterity to operate a computer and other standard office equipment. + Frequent repetitive motion; frequent typing and/or writing. + Frequent hearing and talking, in person and on the phone. + Sit for extended periods of time. **Location Requirements** + Ability to work in the office in Franklin, TN on a hybrid basis. (In office at least three days a week.)
