Description We are looking for a Corporate Controller to join our team in Asheville, North Carolina. This role requires a detail oriented individual who can thrive in a dynamic environment, demonstrating resilience and adaptability while working with diverse teams. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills and expertise in financial operations, ensuring the company's fiscal health and compliance.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and lead all aspects of the month-end closing process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Manage the preparation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and improve operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and support business objectives.
• Provide insightful financial analysis to guide strategic decision-making and improve profitability.
• Supervise and mentor the accounting staff, fostering detail oriented growth and maintaining a high-performance team.
• Ensure accurate and efficient handling of accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Lead audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance and resolve any discrepancies.
• Monitor and manage cash flow to maintain financial stability and support company operations.
• Implement process improvements to enhance overall financial operations and reporting. Requirements • Proven experience in a corporate controller or similar financial leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of month-end close processes and financial reporting.
• Expertise in developing and maintaining internal controls.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
• Proficiency in financial analysis and strategic planning.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• CPA certification or equivalent qualification is highly preferred.
