Corporate Client Director

Lead strategic client relationships and drive business growth in the UK corporate insurance sector as part of Sedgwick’s Corporate Client Relationship Team

You will work as part of our Corporate Client Relationship Team, reporting to the Head of Corporate, focusing on managing and developing client relationships and developing new business in the UK.

Working with clients, brokers, insurers and colleagues you will develop new opportunities and manage key relationships. Promoting Sedgwick to the wider market and building new relationships are a key part of the role.

This role involves leading client account management and driving new business development through tenders, presentations, and contract negotiations. You’ll play a key part in promoting Sedgwick within the UK corporate insurance sector, protecting revenue, and increasing client retention. A strong focus will be placed on identifying cross-selling opportunities, enhancing client lifetime value, and turning relationships into strategic assets. You’ll also manage pipeline activity via CRM tools and contribute to the evolution of Sedgwick’s service proposition.

You will have/will be:

A professional Insurance qualification is preferred: ACII, ACILA, DipCII (Claims) or other relevant qualification

Extensive experience in the insurance industry

Proven track record in client relationship management and/or sales

Previous experience in a similar position, preferably with a business operating in the insurance market

Ideally be experienced in the corporate sector with an existing network

Knowledge across multiple classes of commercial business, key lines being motor, property and casualty

An effective communicator with strong presentation skills and the ability to lead contract renewals and new business pitches

High attention to detail, planning and organisational skills

Strong negotiation skills

Ability to work effectively within a team and manage teams in a matrix environment       

Ability to work under pressure and to deliver against tight deadlines

Be solution and action oriented to deliver against retention and growth targets
