What you'll do:
As a Corporate Audit Associate, you will play an integral role in delivering exceptional audit services to clients while working closely with experienced professionals who are passionate about sharing their knowledge.
Assist in planning, executing, and finalising all areas of audit assignments for clients across various industries while ensuring compliance with relevant standards. Act as the first point of contact for clients on day-to-day matters, demonstrating excellent communication skills in both written and verbal exchanges. Support the delivery of high-quality audit work by producing detailed documentation for review by senior colleagues such as Managers or Partners. Identify areas requiring improvement in client business processes and contribute to the preparation of Audit Findings Reports with practical recommendations. Demonstrate an understanding of risk management policies by considering reputational, operational, and credit risks in all client interactions. Coach junior team members by sharing knowledge and providing on-the-job training to develop their auditing skills and familiarity with audit methodologies. Participate actively in service line activities as well as office-wide initiatives to foster teamwork and communal success. Monitor progress against audit budgets and provide clear explanations for any variances identified during assignments. Contribute to business development efforts by identifying additional sales opportunities during client engagements. Travel occasionally to support other offices within the UK as required, showing flexibility in meeting business needs.
What you bring:
To excel as a Corporate Audit Associate, you will bring proven experience in auditing environments where attention to detail is paramount.
Currently studying towards ACA or ACCA qualification with demonstrable progress in exams or coursework. Significant experience in auditing and accounting practices, ideally under UKGAAP, with exposure to non-profits, pensions or corporate sectors considered advantageous. Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel) with familiarity in CaseWare being desirable. A genuine passion for delivering outstanding client service through responsive communication and solution-oriented thinking. Enthusiasm for personal development coupled with a proactive approach towards achieving career goals within a supportive team environment. Ability to execute tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy under pressure; consistently delivering high-quality results within agreed timelines. Strong interpersonal skills demonstrated through effective coaching of junior staff members as well as constructive feedback exchange within teams. Solid understanding of risk management principles applied throughout all stages of audit assignments. Willingness to travel occasionally between offices as required by business needs.
