Hong Kong Disneyland ("HKDL) Corporate Alliances team develops and manages complex, long-term, multi-dimensional relationships with select brands and companies. The team creates incremental value to HKDL and its partners through creative development of marketing and sponsorship programs, management of partner and tenant relationships within its theme park and hotels, with other business units at HKDL and broader Disney enterprise. The Corporate Alliances organization leverages company and partner assets to create value for its individual operating units and for the Walt Disney Company globally.
The Associate Manager is responsible for generating new strategic partnerships to support HKDL’s revenue targets as well as managing Operating Participant (leasing) agreements, ensuring diversity and industry leading products and services for our guests. The Associate Manager will ensure the proper alignment on the prospective company product and brand strategies fit within HKDL’s sponsorship opportunities by conducting the necessary research and conducting progressive meetings. The Associate Manager will be involved in the various steps of the cycle and may lead said steps such as conducting the presentations, idea generation, influencing internal buy-in, deal term development and contract negotiation. The Associate Manager has revenue targets to deliver to HKDL on an annual basis based on the new deals generated.
Responsibilities
Perform market research and put together insights on category and brands relevant to pursue for partnerships. Develop a pipeline of prospective clients based on research results, networking or business contacts.
With full accountability of the assigned categories, own and manage the full process from lead sourcing, building internal and external pitches to contracting of the deal. Maintain deep understanding of the prospectives’ business and marketing goals, strategic initiatives, and current issues relevant to their business and industry.
Lead and manage strategic discussions with Tier 1-2 partners to deliver on contractual commitments, initiate and deliver revenue-generating and co-marketing initiatives with clear vision, strategy and approaches.
Collaborate with HKDL Line of Business and identify collaboration opportunities that can drive additional revenue and Operating Income for the company. Build and enhance rapport with internal stakeholders to gain support on Corporate Alliances business and manage potential conflicts.
Support Director/ Manager in other special projects as assigned (Ie: Anniversary projects) which may include compelling executive level presentation with story-telling, management reports and may be assigned as the project lead.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or above
Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience, preferably including at least 3 years in a revenue-generating and partnership/sponsorship function
Strong analytical skills and business acumen
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
Ability to influence and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
Culturally sensitive, with experience in multi-market activations
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
