Responsibilities Lead the execution of Public Policy & Government Affairs (PPGA) initiatives across key regulatory areas in close coordination with Corporate Affairs Lead, Regulatory, Legal, Franchise Teams, bottlers, and trade associations, Participate in the development and deployment of external communications and media relations strategies that protect and enhance PepsiCo’s corporate reputation, align with business priorities and ensure consistent messaging across local and regional markets, working closely with Corporate Affairs Lead, Marketing, Legal, media agencies and local market leads. Collaborate with bottlers across various markets to align joint corporate affairs activities with PepsiCo’s strategic and reputational objectives, ensuring added value and consistent messaging. Build and maintain trusted relationships with political decision-makers, NGOs, media, and industry associations to represent and advocate for PepsiCo’s interests externally, ensuring proactive engagement and value delivery. Support proactive issues and crisis management by identifying risks, preparing mitigation strategies, and coordinating responses with cross-functional teams including Corporate Affairs Lead, Legal, HR, and OU/Global Corporate Affairs teams. Summarize complex policy and reputational issues into actionable insights and strategic recommendations for senior leadership, leveraging internal networks and European resources to drive coordinated positioning. Coordinate and support the planning and execution of external events such as stakeholder roundtables, media briefings, advocacy forums, and community engagements that advance PepsiCo’s policy and reputation goals. Support the creation and delivery of clear, engaging written and verbal communications - including talking points, key messages and updates - for internal and external audiences. Contribute to social impact initiatives and purpose-led programs aligned with PepsiCo Positive (pep+) and corporate responsibility commitments across the markets. Review and advise on marketing and influencer campaigns across multiple markets to ensure compliance with corporate policies and local sensitivities, collaborating with Marketing, Legal, and agency partners. Actively participate as a member of the Corporate Affairs community, providing consultation and execution support with strategic input to Corporate Affairs leadership and cross-functional teams. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Communications/Journalism, International Affairs, Legal or a related field At least 5 years of relevant professional experience, ideally within the Balkans/East Europe region, with hands-on exposure to regulatory, public policy, corporate communications or stakeholder engagement roles. Experience in the FMCG or retail industry, or within multinational corporate environments, is a strong advantage. Working knowledge of the political, regulatory, and media landscape, including the ability to monitor trends, assess potential business impacts, and support the development of advocacy or reputation strategies. Demonstrated ability to support the execution of Corporate Affairs plans, aligning external engagement and communication activities with both commercial and reputational business objectives. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex policy or regulatory topics into clear, impactful messaging tailored for media, government, NGOs, and internal stakeholders. Experience supporting issue and crisis management, including drafting holding statements, Q&As, and internal updates, while collaborating with cross functional teams to mitigate reputational risk. Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work cross-functionally and support senior leaders by preparing briefings, talking points, or strategic materials for external engagement. Experience in organizing and supporting external events (e.g. stakeholder forums, media briefings, advocacy panels) and contributing to social impact initiatives or corporate responsibility programs, ideally within a corporate, NGO, or public affairs environment. Fluency in English is required A proactive, collaborative mindset with strong ownership and agility; able to navigate complex situations with integrity, communicate with impact, and work effectively across teams and cultures in a dynamic environment.
