Location: Hybrid: Bedford Street (days office, 2 days Home) OVERVIEW The Corporate Affairs Executive role will focus on bringing the sustainability work in our business to life for our external stakeholders, as well as helping support the work we do to help the communities around our factories in East London become safer, healthier and more prosperous. You'll have an opportunity to work on delivering our communications for sustainability and our local charity initiatives. DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES + Planning, sourcing and producing communications material to bring our sustainability communications to life on our sustainability website, social media channels and internal communication channels. + Planning, writing, and coordinating engaging internal communications to share news, initiatives, and updates across our locations. + Engaging with the local good causes we support and helping to run the Lyle’s Local Fund community grant programme. + Supporting our school visit and work experience programme. + Attending local business events and representing the company. ESSENTIAL CAPABILITIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES) + Strong interest in sustainability and our local community in Newham. + Ability to work with and in a variety of geographies and environments – including factories and offices. + Basic written and oral communication skills, with a strong willingness to learn how to improve them. + Enjoys and comfortable with engaging a wide range of internal and external stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds. + Ability to work flexibly across our three locations in London – Thames Refinery, Plaistow and Bedford Street. ESSENTIAL WORK EXPERIENCES + Ideally some previous experience of working with communications or communications technology, such as creating short video for social media. But eagerness to get involved and learn is just as important.
