Corporate Accountant

Ensure correct application of U.S. GAAP and accuracy, quality and compliance of the Company's financial reporting. Partner with Business Unit and Regional finance representatives to provide guidance on various areas of accounting as well as compliance with the Company's Global Policies.

How you’ll make an impact:

Perform detailed analysis of account reconciliations (cash reconciliations, revenue reconciliations, prepaids, accruals, fixed assets and depreciation) to ensure accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP as part of the overall accounting close process. Establish rationale and justification for required adjustments to ensure account balances are appropriately statedPrepare detailed fluctuation analysis for quarterly and annual audits for the purpose of presenting rationale and closing open issues with external auditorsProvide support to business unit and regional finance teams on appropriate accounting areas in accordance with GAAP and company policyIdentify accounting system deficiencies, recommend process improvements to provide timely, accurate and useful information to ensure accurate financial reporting, and partner with systems group to drive required changesDevelop, maintain and update desk procedures documentation as processes change for efficiencyOther duties as assigned by leadership


What you'll need (Required):

A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or BusinessA minimum of three years (Or one year with a Masters) of accounting experience

Public Accounting Firm experienceCertified Public Accounting (CPA) license is a plusProven expertise in MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel and related financial systemsExcellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skillsSolid problem-solving, critical thinking, and investigative skillsSolid knowledge and understanding of Edwards policies, procedures, and guidelines relevant to corporate accountingSolid knowledge of financial concepts and principlesExpertise in own functional areas and general knowledge of other areas impacted within the businessAbility to manage confidential information with discretionStrict attention to detailAbility to interact professionally with all organizational levelsAbility to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams and representing the department on specific projectsAbility to build productive internal/external working relationships

For Illinois (IL), the base pay range for this position is $66,000 to $94,000 (highly experienced).
