Volt is immediately hiring for a Corporate Manager of Structural Foam in Rockwall, TX.
As a Corporate Manager, you will:
Team Leadership & Development:
Lead, coach, and mentor technical personnel and maintenance technicians, fostering their professional growth and development, and promoting group unity.
Process employee performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Ensure all company policies and safety rules are rigorously followed throughout the department.
Verify uniform and PPE compliance.
Manage vacation planning, approval, and policy adherence for the team.
Verify and manage attendance.
Production & Process Optimization:
Review the production schedule and verify print specifications and requirements to determine the optimal process, materials, machines, tooling requirements, and operations sequencing.
Study and understand current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), evaluate their strengths and weaknesses, and continuously develop/modify new SOPs for increased manufacturing efficiency.
Monitor the efficiency and effectiveness of processes and actively support continuous improvement activities.
Formulate recommendations to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, working conditions, workforce effectiveness, and overall operational efficiency.
Planning & Forecasting:
Evaluate capacity and forecast for infrastructure planning.
Manage plans and projects within budget and scheduled timelines.
Quality & Safety Assurance:
Ensure on-time delivery of quality products.
Maintain excellent housekeeping practices within the department.
Ensure adherence to pace of work and productivity standards, including on-time clocking, reporting to workstations, lunch/break clocking, and break coverage.
Training & Mentorship:
Responsible for training supervised employees on processes, equipment set-up, proper functioning, and all other necessary skills to perform their duties effectively.
This is a full time, direct hire opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in a manufacturing environment. At least five (5) years of experience managing a manufacturing operation. Extensive knowledge in Plastics, specifically Structural Foam and Blow Molding. Experience with Oracle preferred. Good understanding of structural foam and plastics processing. Good understanding of quality and safety practices. Must have strong decision-making skills supported by data collection, analysis, and statistical process control expertise. Ability to start up and shut down all machines and auxiliary equipment in the department. Good mechanical knowledge, hands-on skills, and computer skills. Ability to train and mentor. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Outstanding organizational and leadership skills. Strong work and business ethics. Must understand and follow all departmental safety rules. Understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS). Familiarity with ISO sections relevant to the position.Salary: $120,000 - $150,000/year.
