Our team is seeking to fill a **Corn Breeder** position to be based in **Córdoba, Argentina.** **What You’ll Do:** + You will lead a data driven corn breeding program.Work implies hands-on analysis, advanced breeding, training of staff and field activity. + Leverage enabling breeding technologies to drive product development improvements. + Contribute to the development of novel methodologies useful for the development of new corn hybrids. + Contribute to leadership of the Research Center, and effectively communicate with other scientists as necessary to ensure the success of all research activities in the regional breeding zone. + Develop and deploy selection strategies for multi-trait selection of traits of interest + Work both independently and as a member of a regional team to deliver products. **What Skills You Need:** The ideal candidate for this role: + Will possess a PhD in Plant Breeding, Quantitative and/or Statistical Genetics or a related field. They should have expertise in crop physiology, quantitative/statistical genetics, genome wide prediction methodology, in silico breeding, relevant genotyping technology, field research processes and data analytics. + Has comprehensive knowledge and applied research experience in plant genetics or plant breeding. + Should be strongly motivated by the desire to solve scientific questions by deeply analyzing phenotypic and genetic information and deliver tangible results in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. + Is able to work in an independent, self-directed manner with creative problem-solving skills and a drive for innovation. + Has strong organizational skills to plan and coordinate experiments across projects and abilities to effectively share results across the organization. + Has strong verbal and written communication skills in Spanish and English and a proven ability to work well in a multicultural team environment. + Excellent personal interaction skills required for effectively developing strong internal and external working relationships with a diverse group of people. **Benefits:** + Target Bonus + Career development + Osde 310 + Gym refund + Connectivity refund + Car service tool + Welcome kit and much more!
