Summary

The Master Data Advisor I position is accountable for Ensuring accurate customer, vendor and material master data in support of SAP business transactions, in a cost-efficient way. This role works closely with other team members, and global contacts in Operations, Supply Chain, and business leaders. This role reports to the Regional Master Data Supervisor.

 

Responsibilities

Review creation and change requests for accuracy, respond to master data queries and setup of required master data. Use specific master data systems and execute transactions required for setup and change master data. Test newly created applications for correctness and adherence to master data processes. Assist and support audits by gathering data, documents and information. Collect and prepare reports to stakeholders/project team within specific functional area. Prepare mass load data collection files.

Experience and Skills

Bachelor's degree in business, technical, Supply Chain, or other related fields or equivalent experience Basic understanding of master data processes, critical data elements, and Lubrizol systems in one functional area. Basic transactional knowledge of system to use (e.g. SAP, CMRP, SAR, QAD…) Basic knowledge of Master Data tables and fields in one functional area. Willingness and ability to learn audit processes, systems used, and compliance requirements. Basic knowledge of principles of digital tools (MS Forms, PowerApps, PowerAutomate, Sharepoint, DataLake, RPA's) used within master data. Moderate knowledge of excel and tables within ERP systems. Strong organizations skills, attention to detail and time management

 

Competencies:

Ability to communicate effectively and timely with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to provide on-the-job 1-on-1 training to stakeholders and communicate in local language where needed. Ability to escalate issues and questions when needed. Ability to multitask. Proactively evaluating reports for accuracy and escalating when needed.

 

Considered a Plus 

Chemical Education background (Material Master) Ability to communicate in local language where needed.

Minimum 4 Days: Working from Office

 

Experience Requirement:

3–5 years of hands-on experience in managing and maintaining Material Master Data, including data governance, accuracy checks, and compliance with organizational standards.
