The mission of Correctional Managed Care is to address the healthcare needs of underserved patient populations within the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) and the Texas Juvenile Justice Department (TJJD).
**_JOB SUMMARY_** **:**
Provides coordination of all phases and activities associated with university or community programs.
**_ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS_** **:**
+ Coordinates activities of specified project or program in support of project aims, goals, or objectives.
+ Consults with committee or leadership to plan procedures.
+ Gathers data for review and analysis of program design and outcomes.
+ Assigns duties, trains, and monitors progress of those assisting with project.
+ Interprets program and services to individuals or groups in community.
+ Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure established for department.
+ Performs related duties as required.
**_EQUIPMENT_** **:**
Standard office equipment.
**_WORK ENVIRONMENT_** **:**
Standard office environment. May be located within the confines of a prison, jail or juvenile detention center. Security clearance is required; pre-employment drug testing is also required.
**_REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE_** **:**
+ Associate's degree or equivalent.
+ One (1) year related experience.
Salary is commensurate with years of relevant work experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS::
3-5 years of experience in a healthcare, patient transport, or facilities coordination role.
Familiarity with patient mobility equipment (e.g., wheelchairs, stretchers) and basic inventory tracking.
Ability to manage equipment logistics and maintain accurate records.
Clear and professional communication with patients, staff, and transport teams.
Empathetic and responsive to patient needs, especially those with mobility challenges.
Ability to quickly address shortages or delays in equipment availability.
Basic computer skills; experience with scheduling or inventory software is a plus.
Ability to lift, move, and transport wheelchairs and other mobility equipment safely.
Comfortable working on foot for extended periods and responding quickly to patient needs.
