Lumwana Mining Company seeks to recruit highly motivated and committed employee for the position of Coordinator – Human Resources join the versatile Human Resources department. We are in search of individuals who can champion Barrick's DNA by:

Reporting to Superintendent – Human Resources, the Coordinator – Human Resources will be responsible for providing timely support in all Huma Resource functions.
Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
Recruitment processes through the HRIS Platform and all related activities such as Job advertisements, Interviewing, Selection, Reference Checking and Employment Contracts.
Establish collaborative relationships with functional leaders and provide HR support to assist with the achievement of LMC objectives and goals.
Coordinate, identify and prioritise improvements opportunities.
Provide direction and guidance on HR related issues to Department Heads.
Proactively communicating changes in LMC’s conditions of service, policies and procedures and other matters which affect the employment relationship.
Monitor LMC compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) by communicating CBA requirements to HOD’s, regular review of implementation and addressing any non-compliance matters.
Provide guidance and direction to HOD’s in relation to labour legislation compliance and industrial relations, policies and procedures.
Ensure LMC site contractor companies comply with Zambian labour legislation and LMC approved employment practices by conducting periodical audits of each contractors’ personnel administration practices at least once a year and reporting a directing corrective action for non-compliance.
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:
Full Grade 12 certificate.
Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent.
Minimum of (6) years’ experience in a senior based HR role preferably in the Mining Industry.
Sound knowledge of contemporary HR practice and compliance.
Must have good understanding and able to interpret the Zambian Labour Laws.
Strong background in Human Resource Management, general business acumen and the capacity to act as an internal consultant.
Must be a certified member of the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management.
